What, you couldn't find him in the scope? I see plenty enough to get him in the crosshairs. The one on the road just needs to turn a little more.
Now for a less smarta$$ed comment, those are nice pics. What time of day is everyone seeing them? I've got some limitedtime Friday and Saturday to get out and try tofind something. Probably in the afternoons. Any tips for this year?

We bowhunters like to get up close and personal to our bears. None of this spotting him way over there...put the crosshairs on him...pull the trigger...no we like to see the white of his eyes...the foam dripping out of his mouth....that is bear hunting.

I hear ya! I'm a stick(or carbon) flinger myself. I'm still trying to get this new TKO rest I just put on myBowtech shooting right before I go after a bear with it. Something about not hitting where you're aiming when your target can rip your head off that leaves me a little uneasy.

I'm serious about the tips. I hear the berries are a little early this year, and I'm not sure how that affects what they are feeding on.

Have you ever gotten down out of your tree stand...after dark...by yourself...to look for a BIG bear that you just stuck in the shoulder?
I have...it was not something that I ever what to do or will ever do again. Luckily (?) the arrow pulled out as soon as he turned and darted off. There was no blood on it so I knew I hit the shoulder and nothing else. I tracked him for a few yards...no blood...I got out of there fast.
I was upset with myself for missing the 10 yard shot but it was getting dark in my hole in the woods (still shooting hours outside of it) and I couldn't get a good lock-on through my peep. I looked around it, moved it back passed the shoulder (I thought) and released. I know, I know, you don't have to preach to me...I've said it all to myself already.

As a matter of fact I have. It gives you that NOT SO EASY feeling. I stuck one last Fall at Wayne's place only to have it start raining before we could geta good direction on the blood trail. Nothing like walking around in the dark with it raining to drown out the potential sound of gnashing teeth right before they take a big chunk out of your arse. Not to mention that it's hard to hold a flashlight, shoot your bow, and hit what your aiming at. Then there's the whole cleaning shorts out thing. Never did find that bear after looking for 2 days. I think I hit slightly back with it standing broadside and still at 20 yards. That shot still eats at me. That was the same bear that climbed the tree with Bldhound on the next ridgea few minutes earlier.
