No elk but saw 2 black bears on this side of Paradise on Mt. Rainier yesterday. One was a biggie!

The Kittitas County Commissioners are having a public hearing on Wed July 13 at 6:30 PM at the Upper Kittitas County Courthouse at 700 East First Street Cle Elum on opening up Via Kachess and Kachess Lake Roads to ORV use.

Please attend this meeting and show your support for getting our roads opened up. If you can't attend, public written comment can also be mailed to the kittitas county commissioners in ellensburg.

With Bill Hinkle (State Rep in Olympia) having been instrumental in passing the OHV Bill in
Washington State, now we need to be front and center at this hearing to
begin getting roads open for that use. The USFS needs to realize that we
not only snowmobile, but recreate in the summer too... Please pass this
on to interested parties.

Looks like someone's been to Rattlesnake Grade lately. I go by there a few times a year Summit. When'd you see those?

I've never seen them ( I have seen things in the distance that could have been, just south of the north gate) for sure myself, but I keep a look out whenever I drive through the Hanford site.

I've seen some in the distance down there driving to the Tri-Cities but never that close except 1 bull a 14 year old girl got as her first bull from that ranch down there where they let you hunt. Trouble is it's near impossible to get permission unless you're a kid.She got a really nice 6 or 7 pt. but rough to get that as your first elk for her.

New to the forum but not the area. I hunt around the Spokane area. Looking for any bow hunters...
