Yes I do. Haven't shot anything for years not because I couldn't, just didn't see anything I wanted. I did pass up 2 real nice bears last year. One was a blond, but it was 105 out and I wasn't going to take a chance of it going bad before I got back to the cooler. I saw one last week on the Twisp river that would go about 225. It was about 1 mile down river from War creek.
I saw a total of 11 bears last season only 2 were big enough for me to think about and as I said I passed them up.
I also get one or two every year that show up by my place on Beaver creek. Sonetimes a nice one shows up, but always when I can't get my gun fast enough lol.

You might try going up the War creek rd and glassing back across the Twisp river valley, or go up toward Reynolds creek and glassing the old burn. Newbey creek is another good area. Also go up the Chewuch river to the 2001 fire area and glass in the burn area I was up there yesterday and there is alot of early berries out.

I'm a Sci Tech. with the state Fish and Wildlife. I monitor the fishing seasons on the rivers, talk to fishermen to see what they caught, how long they fished, bio stuff etc.
I'll keep you informed on what I see each week and give you and idea of where I'm seeing the critters. With the exception of the big one I'm going after lol.
Do you steelhead fish?

Sounds good, sometimes I do but mostly just taking the kids to the lake to fish is about as much fishing as I do. Hunting season is what I look forward to. I have 8 deer points so im hoping I draw that tag this year.

Good luck on the draw, what unit did you put in for. I was going to say if you steelhead fish I do that to. In 2002 I landed 451 steelhead off the Methow, and 122 last yr. I didn't fish much last yr.
I duck hunt that time of the yr so I have to split my time between the 2. Thats one of the reason I archery hunt, I can hunt early and do the other stuff later.
