Default wy antelope area 6

Hi
I was wondering if anyone was familiar with wy antelope area 6? Any advise on what part of the unit to hunt? Also what part of the season first week or later on.
Thanks for your time.

well i will answer this for you, area 6 is one of the worst areas you could have drawn! that being said i can tell you where to go, go late in the season, say around the12-15th, stay in newcastle and hunt south on hwy 450, make sure to hunt the east side of that hwy!
get yourself a blm map from the blm office in newcastle, study it! find out where all the county roads are, bring your gps and have fun, you will see plenty of 12" goats!

i deer hunt in region b, i see all kinds of antelope, early in the season. they are not wild the first couple of days. most of the area is public land, and does get hunted hard. i would be out there the opening day to get my goat

I grew up in area 6 and still hunt there every year andhave had alot of success with goats. There are a ton of goatsand can easily find anything from the 13 -14 1/2 range without hunting to hard. Anything over fifteen you will have to hunt harder for but can be done. I would suggest definately going out for the opener because the goats get pretty stired up after the first weekend. Are you going to be hunting public or private?

I grew up in Wright around the area and you should not have any problems finding any antelope. Good luck.
