Thanks camel. Found several webpages. But not sure what to look for. Right now, all I can look for is lots of land, and hopefully critters are there. But whatever I find, I plan to come out and check out the land myself thoughly.

LET ME CAUTION YOU ABOUT ONE THING... W.A.T.E.R.

JUST BECAUSE YOU OWN LAND IN COLO DOES "NOT" MEAN YOU CAN GET WATER ON IT OR FOR IT. ALL WATER IN COLO IS PRIVATELY OWNED. HERE WHERE I LIVE 90% OF THE RURAL PICKUP TRUCKS HAVE A 250GAL PLASTIC WATER TANK IN THE BED FOR HAULING WATER TO THEIR CISTERN.

Good luck.

you can drill for water in colorado. that BS about having to haul water is pure BS. The reason they haul water is so they can avoid the $35 a foot drilling cost.

TeeJay, how much is it going for up there? Looking for some prime hunting and Future investment. I am sincerely considering pulling out of my 401K and putting it in land instead. At least half of it. Nothing over 250K. Not sure I can swing that even.

I just see my inlaws. They thought ahead, and struggled when they were young. Bought some land, and now they moved there when they retired.

There aint no such thing. In order to own the water, you have to buy the deeds to the mineral rights or else the people laying natural gas pipe lines can setup right on your front lawn.

...lets see the water rights go back to the 1870's. we have Colorado Water Court where folks who know about "there aint no such thing" fight for their rights to use or buy or hold water rights. So I guess there is such a thing.Other wise a lot of guys are using up pickup bed space hauling expensive plastic tanks for no reason. And you said you liveWHERE that you know all about "there aint no such thing" ???
