I don't have a particular area in mind. Isn't the Spanish Peaks area only open to hunting certain days of the week?

i think its monday and wednsday. I just got done calling to a tom across the field in front of my house. I went to let my dog out and i heard a gobble so i ran and got my box call and i talked to him for about 15 minutes. They are roosted up in the deep timber. Love that gobble sound!

I am from Missouri, wouldn't consider myself an expert on hunting turkeys in co, but 2 years ago i went hunting for meriams between Durango and Pagosa Springs in SW Co and found quite a few. Was fortunate enough to harvest a nice one, one of the best times i've ever had. Just me and my dad. I got most of my info before I went from talking to DOW people, most of them were very helpful and eager to help.
