A couple buddies and i are heading out to Sundance WY for the second time in 3 years this coming nov. we are from the Upper Pennisula of Michigan and wondering if anyone knows anyone that lives in that are that would possibly allow us to hunt there during this week. If not is there a list of people that own land in that area??? and how would i go by getting this list?? Anything would be great. Thanks!

Is there a reason why you don't want to hunt the Nat forest.

I have hunted the national forest near Sudance for many years and occasionly run into some hunters but I see far more deer than people. There are all kinds of deer in that area. Platte maps are the only thing you could get to look up land owers that I know of.

thats the same as what I've seen for the last 2 years, I normally see 100+ deer a day in mid Nov.
I don't count deer off NF.

Contact the regional game biologist. They usually keep a list of people that have a deer problem and can give you the contact info.
GOOD LUCK

ya dont need the private land.

what you need is to get farther off the roads. this area is notorius for road hunting.

get away from the traffic, and you will find more deer than you know what to do with.

Private land will cost you. There are to many out of staters that will pay outrageous fees to hunt. Its that simple. I'm a local and have difficulty finding land owners who will let me hunt, and none will let me hunt bucks. I understand though, its like them giving me $2500. But because I understand doesnt mean that the situationdoesnt suck anyway. There are lot of big bucks on the forest service though.
