Default Heavy steel?

Just was wondering if anyone knew more about heavy steel and where it will be availiable for sale, I would think that the marketing would be widespread....

From what I have read and the box I shot.
It's heavyer than steel shot and lighter than Hevi shot.
25 percent heavyer than steel shot.
It comes in 25 rnd boxs 3" 1 1/8 oz at 1500 fps
I know I got my box at Cabela's(not on web site) and you can order it direct from Hevi shot.
It is also avaible from Woods and Water and Mack's Prairie wings

So they do carry it at Cabela's???? I thought that I heard that it was the same material (thing) as Hevi - Shot but being marketed under a diff name since the devloping company had a contract with remington for 5 years and it was up and all they had to do was change the name to market their own line of loaded ammunition.....

I found that the 4's that I used worked good for the decoying mallards and woodies.
I never used it for pass shooting .

Hevi-Steel has a density of 9.064, against the density of steel coming in at 7.86. This brings the new Hevi-Steel in close to density figure of 9.82 Of bismuth and Hevi shot has a density of 12.

I would like to buy Hevi steel to reload . I am going to check into it for next year.

From what I have read on Hevi shots web site and other places . Remington bought the rights to load and market Hevi shot , but Hevi shot retained the rights to keep selling loaded ammo under their name also.
This ammo is loaded by Remington or Poly Wad .
Poly Wad was the orignal company to load Hevi Shot for Hevi Shot .( I got to shoot so of the pre aproval loads several years back)
Poly Wad loads the Hevi Shot Dead Coyote load and the OO buck load amoung others

If you go to Hevi Shot's web site and look here and down load the Hevi Steel down load it explains it a lot better

I did see it at the Cabelas Dundee store this fall. It is not the same as hevi-shot but I though it was under the Remington name as well.
