Default decoys

Hello, I'm 13, and I was wondering wether you had to set the decoys up in a special pattern, or if you can just throw them out in the water? Also, can you use any kind of species of duck decoys to attract other species of real ducks?

thanks mark

Troutdudes, it depends on how many decoys you have. you can throw them out and make room for them to land. You can also put them in a J pattern. I use both and they wrok well.

Good luck this season.

Your decoys have to match your duck call. If you have a mallard hen call then you need at least one mallard hen decoy, and with your other calls.
