The Benlies are pricy, but IMO they are one of the best guns out there.

I have not had a problem with mine no matter what the weather conditions. Of course I usually use my Browning Gold 10 ga for duck now since steel really bites!!

I have a BPS 10 gauge as well and it has been very good. I would however look at the Benelli Nova pump. I was very impressed with my duck hunting partners' Nova. He found it new with three chokes on sale for $419.99. the BPS runs $450 new. You can't go wrong with either.

I meant no offense to you, just saying that if you think the 870 Super Mag actually kicks, then maybe there's something wrong with yours. I have the 870 Super Mag with no problems. My gun of choice is the Benelli SBE however. Fantastic gun, even in the 24" barrel model.

You won't even notice any kick on any gun waterfowl hunting. But any pump will beat you to death shooting sporting clays.

Vertiport, I'm in the boat, unsure what to get, but I think I have it down to a choice of two, the browning gold waterfowl, and the benelli black eagle. I've read a lot of comments and from what I can see is that there are alot of Browning Gold guys out there and quite a few benelli too. They are both pricy but I have not seen very many complaints about either compared to other shotguns. Good luck in your search.

Hey JDAN, lots of great choices out there. I had a chance to go to Outdoor World here in Maryland. They had every gun I wanted to see. I had the chance to place side by side all the guns BPS 10 and 12. Remm 11-87 Benelli SBE, winchester SX2, sp10 and gold auto10 light.NOVA and 870. It was so nice to see feel and handle all the guns. Even had a chance to take them apart and look inside. The guys there were great. So for the money this is what I did. I repaired my old 870 3" wingmaster. Got a new barrel with 3 choke tubes ,new synthetic stock set.ejector side rails. striped it down to bare metal light coat of blue and camoed the whole gun swivels and sling. So the 3" is up and running. I got the BPS 10 ga in camo. 529.00 on the street delivered. I am already into relaoding so I bought the set up for the 10 ga while I was at the store for 50.00.Got a great mix for some 10 ga tarket loads for practic and a great hot load for the new HevyShot. Found the shot on line for 10.28 per pound.Even found empty 3.5 and 2.75 shells online.Way I figured is it will cost me to load 56 rounds of 10 ga 3.5 HevyShot, case, powder and primer for 113.96 thats 2.04
per load.Could be less because I will run out of shot before i run out of cases, powder and primers. Case and primers come 100 to a box so they will be free for the next 44 to be runned.Look guys you must think I'm crazy but with this hobby the powers to be home says my hunting is on my own dime. with one going to college one 2 years away, cars, home and everything else not much left for me anymore. So the outcome is for the cost of a new SP10 or Benelli SBE with no extras I got my old gun fixed the way I wanted,a new BPS 10 ga 26 camo, sling and softcase, reloading supplys
and 56 rounds of ammo and a lot of great free info and support. Thanks guys for all your help. If your down here during the season. look me up.
