Arkansas Guide Service??
#11
I have hunted Arkansas primarily for the last ten years, and know most all of the guide services/outfitters, if you have any questions about specific ones I will answer them via PM. I will try to briefly outline what I would recommend that you do.
If you want to go to Stuttgart go with R-N-T guide service (yep the call company). They run the best operation in that area in my opinion and are the only ones I'd recommend in that area right now. I have heard some very dissappionting things about Black Dog lodge as well (good friend was not happy last year).
If you don't mind venturing a bit north give Adam Lyerly a shout. Adam is a great guy and will do his job to ensure that you are where the ducks want to be. He doesn't usually offer timber hunting, but honestly fields produce more consistent shooting opportunities than timber, and when you're in the business of taking people hunting consistency is the name of the game. Adam will steer you straight if you have any questions. The area you will be hunting has a lot of history to it too, perhaps more than the over-hyped Stuttgart in my opinion. I cannot recommend Adam enough, he is a great guy and runs a good honest operation that does things the right way. His website is http://www.bayoudeviewoutfitters.com
Also, if you really want to hunt timber you should contact Charles Snapp. Charles is a bit of a "promoter" for lack of a better word, but he is a good guy and will do his or his guides best to put you on the ducks. I have always had good experiences with Charles. His website is http://www.arkansaswaterfowl.com
Get in touch with all three and see what you think. Feel free to PM with specific questions about areas or outfitters and good luck with your search.
