field canada goose decoy question
If any of you hunt canadas in a field and hunt out of a raised square blind, I have a question for you. Do you set up your decoys off to the side or away from the blind a bit, or do you put the decoys close to and all around the blind. I have always placed the dekes away from the blind with the landing area within shooting range. It has worked okay in the past, but the last couple times out, I can't get the birds to do anything. I am hunting on Md eastern shore tommorrow and the weather is supposed to be goosey (cloudy, snow showers and a VERY cold front coming in for sunday) I don't know whether to try something new (decoy placement) or go about the way I usually do. Any thoughts?, thanks.
