I have both the 3 and 5mm
I found them to be tough , as I hunt , trap and fish in waders 100+ days a year
I found the 5mm to be to warm for early season so I bought a pair of breathable waders for warm weather
But you can't beat them , my 3mm waders are 5 years old and still not 1 hole

Just picked up a pair of Cabela's Supermag waders. Seem pretty well made and they are warm with those giant 1600gr moon boots. I was able to go a size smaller in the boot than my normal shoe.

I have used the 1600 gram 5 mm Super Mag Cabela's waders for a couple of years now. I like them a lot. I noticed some wet spots on my pants this past weekend while hunting in them. I don't know if I splash water into them -- which is possible, but how does the water get down to the back of my legs but not my butt, my back, or my front? -- or if there is a leak. I have to break ice going into my hunting spot from time to time -- four mornings this season -- and I do worry about sharp edges of the ice possibly cutting into the neoprene rubber waders. The wet spots do not make me cold and do not extend down to my feet. I'm not going to worry about it until it gets worse. Maybe it is just sweating? I know it is hardwork walking in to my spot and maybe my legs sweat there?
I can say I have never been even close to cold in those waders. I used to wear polypropylene long underwear bottoms, but I stopped doing that the last several outings. There just is no point or need, as the 5 mm neoprene just doesn't let you get cold.

I have a pair of the 5mm and really haven't been too fond of them. They are warm if you are standing in a cold river or marsh but if you have very much walking to do you will sweat up a storm. Other problems for me are the pair I got are really too tall I'm 5'8" and they come up almost to my shoulders. Also I am not fond of velcro straps instead of suspenders. They are tough and will last along time with proper care. Also because of the thickness of the material they are difficult to get in and out of. My best advice is to try them on with the clothes you intend to hunt in. Good Luck.

No matter what wader of Cabela's you purchase you can't go wrong. I bought a pair of the 3mm about 10 years ago.....they eventually got holes and I tried fixing to no avail. Well......just this month a new Cabela's store opened ONE MILE from my house. I took the pair of waders in not knowing what to expect.......
THEY GAVE ME MY $$$MONEY back for them so I could geta new pair. Now that is customer service.

Since I put mine through absolute hell... I just where 2 ply rubber Pro Line chest waders with 400 gram thinsulate in the boot. I can replace them for 50 bucks... and I can still stand in the water all day.
