Default Snow Questions

Thanks to all of you I have had some sucess this year thus far. 4 trips 7 geese, my first 7 ever! thanks to everybody who responded.

We are set to get snowed on 5-10 inches around Braidwood Il.How will this affect the geese? Might they leave? How does one set decoys? Is it just bad luck to get snowed like this?

Help! If this is strand from years past I can hunt for it in the archives.

thanks,

Knock the feet off the your full bodies if you can and put out all the shell decoys you got. If calling does not work than call harder. If it's a spot they stay for the winter then the snow won't make 'em bug out, if it's only 4 or 5 inches. Any deeper than that they will probably slide east or west for awhile until it melts a little, but they shouldn't bug out for good. If it's not a usual wintering spot, then they will probably bug out until the spring migration. Good luck!

Go find water. If there's a lake around and you've got that much snow, those geese may go to water for the day.
