Finally it is BP season on the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario. For all you southerners that's the finger of land that separates Lake Huron from Georgian Bay (due east of Saginaw) We saw 5 deer cross the road, a buck ran through my buddy's field of fire, and we've seen lots of tracks. Track stew is not very appealing but there are 2 days left so there might be time to get lucky. It is snowing to beat all. Saturday it is supposed to let up so here's hoping. Seaso ends Saturday pm.

Well hi there Gearheart from a fellow Canuck. You are hunting in my back yard. My hunting grounds are around Pike bay on "The Peninsular". Had the good fortune to take nice buck Tuesday evening. Hope you get your deer. With these weather conditions most of the deer are heading to the western shore to their winter yards. Watch going up highway 6 -100% of the tracks are headed east to west.

Yeah I figure the deer are headed for their wintering territory. The snow is over my knees and I'm 6'6" so that's almost crotch deep on my hunting partner. I'm home now and the hunt is over. We saw no sign after Wed. am They just vanished. The deer won this round.
