Default Working migrating flocks?

Is there a trick to bringing in a big flock of migrating ducks. We can bring in most flocks of ducks under 15 or so. The big flocks of 25 plus ducks are the ones we can't bring in. We are hunting over 7 dozen greenhead gear dekes. Is there a trick to working in these big flocks ofducks.

I think that when flocks are that big, they have their minds made up as to where they're going and unless it's feeding time, they're not going to come in. The smaller flocks are probably looking for bigger flocks and that's why they're more easily coaxed into coming in.

Only way we can work a big flock is to be where they want to be

Then only call a few times and shut up

Or have out tons of decoys

Today in the marsh we had 4 guys
10 doz decoys
We were drawing in every flock that passed

4 guys
24 ducks
7 geese

in 2 hrs

But even then , you wise up to many birds

Better to let the big flocks go and work the smaller groups
