swampcollie you think im some criminal or somethin? check your stuff before you yap at me once in a while. my season closes the 28th
Hey calm down their Francis. You yankees sure have some thin skin. I do not see anything at all in my post that even comes close to calling you a criminal.

And by the way....you are obviously only hunting Long Island...because THE ENTIRE STATE'S SEASONS....SAVE LONG ISLAND....CLOSED ON 31 DECEMBER.

And not every waterfowl hunter in NY hunts Long Island....the three I know...and happen to be related to, hunt near the great lakes. And son of a gun, their season has been closed since a couple of weeks ago....and like I posted....I don't hunt there....

So check your attitude before assuming things and getting your panties in a bunch.

This could be the biggest overreaction of the century! You could have easily said that where you are in New York it closes this weekend. Relax! Incase you didn't know, there is something called 'zones' in States. Seasons vary from zone to zone.

Post a picture of these 8lb Black Ducks you are shooting. Average weight on a black duck is b/w 3-5lbs, that is where I am getting 8lbs.

Late season Blacks were always called Canadian Redlegs at least in the Barnegat N.J. area.
