choke tubes?

WOW!!! The tightest I WILL EVER use is modified, IC and Light modified are also good with light modified being the best IMHO!!!

I agree with Carpmaster. I use IC for ducks and geese, but we only shoot decoyed birds. If you are "pass shooting" you might want something a little tighter.

I wouldn't use anything more restricted than modified and doubt more restriction is needed. If you think you do, you better be sure the shotgun barrel you shoot the ammo (shot) with is certified to handle such. Steel can cause damage on too much restricted barrel, if it's not manufactured to withstand the added pressure. As stated, steel and mony other non-toxic shot typesdon't compress like lead did.

For decoy hunting I think IC is actually a better choice, better patterning choke. Even modified at close range with a hit to the body can turn a bird into a chewed up mess.

Well yesterday I got my first honker and made the longest shot that I feel comfortable with and I got him with the mod so I'm stickin with that. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

I use the true glow adjustible mod most of the time but depending on weather and bird flight that does change on occasion like otheres i use heavy shot 3.5

i use Federal Premiums 2 3/4 and 3in. with 30in full barrel pump mossberg, and modified barrel on rossi single shot break.
