Default Texas rags & shells

Can any decribe a setup using Texas rags and 24 Canada shells? Like how many rags per this number of shells. Mix them up or seperate rags from shells. My shells are large Carry-Lite on tee stakes and I hunt short grass/mud flats. Thanks

Default RE: Texas rags & shells

Texas Rags work best with high flying geese like snows and specs, because they see the top of decoy, not the side. Shells, silhouettes and full bodies work best on canadas, because they fly lower and see the side of the decoy. I mix 1-3 rags in with each family group of 4-10 shells. If you really want to decoy geese get a "Lander Kite" made by Randy "Flag Man" Bartz. E-mail me if you're interested and I'll get you his address, phone.
