Need to purchase a good digital camera for family pictures and for down loading pictures to the internet selling items.Never owned one before but now is the time to get one so if any one can recommend a good and reasonable priced camera it would be appreciated.If you could give the brand,model and price would be great and also where you think is the best place to buy one.Thanks Alot! If you've never owned one before, I'd start with a point and shoot. Something like a Kodak Easyshare. They're easy to use and you can get one with a high resolution (8-10 megapixel) for a decent price. Here's a few Best Buy carries. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....p=15&iht=n
You want something with at least a 3x OPTICAL zoom. Digital zoom means absolutely nothing.

A point and shoot camera will work for what you mentioned. However, if you think you might use your camera for taking other types of pictures, you might consider stepping up to a dSLR.

Nikon, Canon, and Olympus would be my preference for PnS cameras. What are you considering a "reasonable price"?
