Hey this is my first post on upland birds. I'm 15 and i live in eastern Kansas. Never been phesant hunting, this is my first year of hunting anything. Me and my dad would have to drive aways to get to the phesants. My question is do any of you phesant hunt in Kansas. If you do can you please tell me where you hunt?
Thanks

Sure I hunt Kansas every year. The last couple have been hard because of the lack of moisture. I hunt Graham and Trego counties mostly. You don't need to come that far west. According to KDWP the area around Lincoln county is up in bird counts. Get on that computer and go to KDWP[ Kansas Division Wildlife & Parks] web site and look at the bird reports and Walk-in Properties maps. You will find a place to hunt not to far from your home. I think it is great you are going to hunt. I am excited for you, have a great time. My 9yr. old passed his hunter safety course so this will be his first pheasant hunt too. Stay safe and write back, I want to know how you do.
