Default NE winter grouse

I live in PA and was wondering how those of you in the NE hunt this time of year with a lot of snow on the ground and cold temps?

I hunt snowshoe hares this time of year. It's great right now, not enough snow to require snowshoes and most of the beaver ponds are frozen up tight enough so you and the dogs can get through easily. That's pretty much the only hunting to be had right now.

I have been hunting fence rows and ditchs along the railroad with a guy that works for the railroad. We just got more snow and it was very hard to find birds. We did run into some prarie chickens a few times though. Could not get close enough for a shot. I use my GSP for all of this.
