I have just gotten into dove hunting in the last few years. Opening day is a great time... both for the fellowship and the usually good number of birds flying. Myself and friends usually hunt opening day and then again the following Monday. After this no one seems to want to continue to dove hunt.
My question: Will dove still be flying after opening week... and if so, how can you best hunt them without a large group of hunters (which usually seems to keep them moving)?
Of course I realize that cool weather may make the birds move south, but here in North Carolina I don't see that as being a problem until after Septemeber.

Dove season opened almost three weeks ago here in Kentucky. The birds are still flying mainly early morning and evening, but they are getting educated and are alot more nervous about fields and usually are flying higher then normal now.
