#11
After looking at all the posts, and seeing each collar first hand, I decided.
Tri-Tronics G2 500 Pro. Yea it was a lot of money, but compared to what training the dog cost, .....
Anyway thanks again for all the info.

It came yesterday. I charged it all night, and trained with the dog this morning. The longer probes REALLY make a difference.
I held the collar, and my wife "let me have it" on setting 3. That got my attention. The trainer had the older model with the short probes. We had to use setting 4 or 5 to elicit a response. When I trained with the dog this morning, setting one(1) worked GREAT! Just as soon as he got a "nick", he did all the exercises perfectly.
Thanks again for all the good advise.

I have the Dogtra 1100, and it is great. I like the small transmitter, waterproof, long range, and recharge capabilities. My sister and friend both have the Dogtra 200, it is a little lighter duty, but it gets the job done for them, I would recommend the 1100 for a hunting dog though. Good luck
