Just wondering if anyone did any good the last 2 wks in central Wis. It's been pretty cold and windy compared with the first 2 wks. and I'm just wondering what that's done to the birds(if anything)...I'll be going out this Wed. in Zone 21, supposed to warm up the next couple of days and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hey , i was hunting in zone 23, portage county last weekend. Got my bird! first tom. 22lbs 10 inch beard, 1 inch spurs. they are definitly gobblin! Good luck !

I haven't been out since the first week.Where do you hunt at in zone 21.

Zone 22-Got the next 2 weeks (4th-5th) Cant Wait!

I usually hunt in the Wood Co. forest(Pittsville) during the week then go down to northern Adams Co. (Rome area) on the weekend. I was out this morning for a listen and heard several gobblin', one that was definately close to where I usually set up. Can't wait till tomorrow morning!!! Good Luck to everyone tommorrow morning! I will be heading out near La Crosse. I have been seeing a lot of lonely toms in the fields so hopefully it'll work out.

I'll be giving it a try down in zone 2 around the Stuben area starting on Thursday the 4th.Can only hope that things work out. It's always fun hunting down there,even if I don't get a bird.

I don't expect to get a lot of sleep tonight, but the coffee's ready to brew and my gear is packed!! I saw at least three different toms in various fields this afternoon (two struttin', one just pokin' around), and I'm thinking about hunting harder in the late morning and early afternoon. I usually tend to give up after the birds stop gobbling in the morning, but I think I'll go in to work in the morning and take off around noon... who knows??

Me and my son will be out tomorrow in zone 7. It is his season. Mine is next week. Have been seeing a few in my field everyday so hopefully it all works out.

week 2 21 lb tom, 1 inch spurs 10 in beard & 23.5 lb tom 1 & 1/4 spurs 9 in beard
week 3 23 lb tom 1 1/2 in spurs 9 1/2 in beard

4 for 4 on tags so far, just 1 hunting buddy left, then we'll be all done
