Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Winchester super X2 Setups

I just bought a X2 3 1/2 inch shotgun and wanted to know what some of your setups were for this gun. Shot, Make, choke and constriction, and what size shell. Thank you for your help.

Here is my set up:

Browning Gold 3.5 with a 26" barrel
Madd Max Choke .670 restriction
Star Dot sights
Winchester Xtended Range 3.5" #5 shot.

It is very effective out to 50 yards. I have already taken 2 toms this year with it. One at 45 yards and one at 20 yards.

I also have a Comp n Choke that I used from time to time, but it does not pattern as well as the Madd Max with the Xtended Range Ammo.

I realize that it is not a SX2, but it is extremely close.

Good Luck to you.

My #1 hunting buddy has a new X2. Here's what he found to be the ticket;

Rhino .670 ported / extended choke tube.

3.5" Nitro Hevi-shot, 4x5x7 in (I believe) the 2 ounce payload.

A very compact holo-style sight by Hakko. Multi reticle, very nice.

That shotty throws one heck of a turkey stompin' pattern.
