help on mouthcall purring

i have been practicing everyday now and on a few of my calls im not doing too bad. i dont know what it is but it seems the calls that the tape isent too tight or hard im doing a lot better w/ then the harder tape calls.. but thats not a problem im just happy to be able to start getting a purring sound, i wouldnt try it tomorrow on a longbeard but maybe next month when our season starts... thanks guys...

Keep practicing - it takes a long time to master, but it will ultimately be your favorite call once you get it down.
Even after you get good at it, it's still tough - last year, I called in a really wily old bird and he was about 10 yards away, just over a break where I couldn't see him. He was gobbling like crazy for about 20 minutes and I got so flustered and cotton-mouthed, that I couldn't make a decent purr to save my hide.
Needless to say, he lived to see better days... and well... I never did get that turkey. Had to settle for a different model.
