Is thare anything you can tell me good or bad about the Bushnell Holo Sight? I have come to realize my eyes have a hard time focusing on open sights and my target. Is a quality shotgun scope a better choice, even in low light before the sun comes up?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Bushnell Holo Sight
It looks like it would do good for turkey or any bird hunting.
Or for any hunting you do with a shot gun.
I might check into getting one.

Hey Roman- You should read the post on "Williams Firesight" in this forum. Jollyarcher put up some good information about them and i post a few pics. I'm still checking in on them myself and won't know much until Monday when my buddy at Morse Sporting Goods can call. I know I've seen you on here before and that I've asked you before too but where in NH are you? Enfield area right? Jims sight in day is the 17 of April I believe. I've got the information in my email and need to work up the flyer today.

Save your money on the Holo Sight! this sight is not a good turkey sight because of the ajustment of the receptical. Your all the time changing the lighting because of the different light that one will get while turkey hunting. More bird misses with this sight in the guiding field then any other sight I have seen, and I have seen a Ton...BT

I have killed better than 2 dozen birds using the original holosight and the holosight II
The dot in the circle reticle makes for a great "circle of death" for turkeys
Batterries will work for three weeks straight of every day hunting. Good idea to keep fresh pair of batteries in your vest. Holosight does flash the reticle for few seconds when you turn it on, and the batteries are getting low. As to changing intesity settings, not a big deal, unless you don't pay attention to it. I adjust mine usually once after the sun clears the tree line, and again if it gets real bright out. Red dot scopes have similiar issues. I would expect auto light compensating red dot scopes in the future, one less thing to worry about.
Your eyes do better at centering things in the circle rather than trying to fix a dot on a target. Ideal on moving, or erratic targets such as a turkeys head.

It's funny you posted this becuse I just got finished watching a turkey hunting show on the outdoor channel about this sight... The guy on the show said it was the best sight he ever used...
How much does one of these sights cost???

2 years ago I I took about 3 months deciding on what kind of scope to mount on my turkey gun, I didn't really need one, but wanted one, I personally feel more comfortable aiming through a crosshair than a bead. After a lot of scope examination and pricing and just plain thinking, I went with the Leupold 1.4x shotgun scope on a Millet mount for my 11-87. My reasoning? I wasen't sold on the idea of an electronic scope holding the recoil of a 12 guage turkey round, I do alot of patterning every year, just because I like too. I figured if I'm spending over $200 on a turkey scope that I plan on using forever, I'd rather spend it on something that will last forever. I know that Leupold will hold up to just about anything, and if it doesn't, I know who will fix it....for free!!

I'm looking to order the new XLP Holo sight but they're on backorder. My buddies looking into where he can get one for me but not having any luck with it! He's calling Bushnell today. Here's a link to Cabelas [link]http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/index/index-display.jhtml?id=cat320001&navAction=jump&navCount =1&parentId=cat20712&parentType=category&cmCat=Mai nCatcat20712[/link] which have a few holo sight with prices. If it doesn't work out for my turkey thumper I'll be mounting it to my pistol
Hope this helps
