For me Primos Diamond Yelper Model 106
and Double Diamond Model 107

Thats the ones I can purr with the easyest.

I got a Primos Limb Hanger but its not quiet as easy as these.

Im still learning to.

I hope this helps.

Good Luck

no specific brand but the sigle reed is the easiest to purr with, may not have the sound you are looking for but it is the easiest. i like the purr that i get out of my triple reed raspy cutter call. If I were you and are just learning to purr i would go with a single. then build off of that. Pat

Although I like to use a mouth call in tight but for hard aggressive purring I like the sound of my black magic aluminum scratch call and Steve Harrison's osage orange slate!!
