What I did last year was to tape one of the cheap mountain climbing clips to my vest and attach one of those white, plastic zip strips through the swivel on the back of the gun. It worked really good. It didn't cost me a thing, had all the stuff laying around.
I spray painted the zip strip and used camo duct tape. Clip it on, clip it off. You can also attach binocs and other item to those clips. reduces the load on your neck.
