Can you Mossberg 835 Ulti -mag owners tell me which choke tube is giving you great results? I usually shoot 3" #6 Winchester Supreme, Federal Premium, or Remington Magnum turkey loads if that helps. Would like to keep it under $40 if possible. I know a lot of guys like the Rhinos. Thanks!

A good one under $40 is hard to find but if Wal-Mart still has the StarDot chokes they work pretty good I think because I have one. The price is around $20-$25. It's a .676 and I like the Winchester Supreme HV 3 1/2" #6 myself. That combo has not let me down yet. The only thing is is that mine is one of the older guns so I don't know if it will make a big difference or not.

The Ulti-Full that came with your gun will do very nicely out to about 30 yards. They designed it that way. Mine did very well with Winchester and Federal 5's to 30 yards.
I went with a Rhino choke and Nitro loads shortly after I bought it so I don't know about any other aftermarket chokes.

Kit I know its more money but TRUST me its worth it. Get a .660 Nitro and check with Nitro as he has a load SPECIALLY made for 835 Ulti's. Even the item number designates it too the Ulti's. Ray has spent ALOT of time with those guns as they were the first and then only 3.5s around for awhile.
REALLY do check on this before you spend one dime on anything else!

I have the one that came with the mossberg turkey barrel and an undertaker. The undertaker has the best pattern of the two. I hate to admit this but I missed a turkey at about 15yds. last year[:@]. I aimed directly at the head and the pattern was so tight it sailed right over him
. Rookie mistake
. I had sighted in for about 30 yds thinking I would have a long shot[
]. This year if I get a chance I will aim for the base of the neck instead

i use the Undertaker choke, an older model that i think is .695? and winchester supreme's, 3.5" mags, #4's., with my ultimag. and while i wouldn't recommend it for anyone else, i know that i can safely, and quickly down a bird at 50 yards. i try to get them inside that range when possible, but last spring's birds fell at 47 and 42 yards. both dropped like rocks, as did the first bird i ever shot at , which stood at 50 yards.. the combo does in coyote's pretty good too.

I have the same choke and use the same loads as ShawneeHunter as well except if your patient you can pick the choke up after the season for 5 bucks at Walmart. The factory choke shoots fine.
