I also use the Comp-n-Choke for my 835 and I couldn't be happier with its performance. Mine seems to work best with Winchester 3.5 inch in #6 shot. The gun is deadly to 40 yards. It's a little more pricey, but it's definitely worth it.

I have an Undertaker in my Ultimag as well. I've always use Winchester Supreme 3.5" #5's and have taken birds out to 48 yards. Every bird I've ever shot with it dropped like a stone and would highly back the Undertakers. I can also tell you that the Undertaker in my 835 throws a much better pattern than my buddy's with the Ulti-Full choke in it from Mossberg, and that is with the same loads.
I'm not sure if they're made anymore, but I have a TruGlo Strut Stopper in my Browning Invector 10 gauge. I've patterned it out to 55 yards, and had 14 holes in the head and 44 in the neck at that distance. It's a bit of a double edge sword though because if they're in close it's almost like shooting a slug at them....lol I like having the extended range though because we have a lot of IDIOTS around where I hunt that like to call at the birds from the highways. Needless to say, the birds get call wise in a hurry, and being I hunt alone, it's hard to get them in that 20-30 yard range.

I got a bird with my 835 and i was using an UNDERTAKER choke. I was shootin 3 inchers and the bird was at 45 yards walkin away. I had pattered the gun to 50 and knew how much it would drop. The bird went down like it was suppost to and my season was over in about 25 min.

I once tested all the chokes that Cabelas carry(about a year ago for Cabelas), with the same loads at the same distances. The 2 with the best pattern was Comp-n-choke, and Hastings. I use a Hastings on my 835, and couldn't ask for anything more. The worst tested and most suprising was the Patternmaster, which had a very poor pattern with lots of holes. I know you want to stay under $40, but remember, you get what you pay for. Going with either of those 2 chokes would be my reccommendation.

I have 2 turkey chokes for my 835. I have one that came with it because of the turkyey barrel, and i bought one of those truglo chokes from wally world. I know it wont help you this season, but wait until about 3 weeks after season and i got the truglo for $2.50! I guess its just because the 835 is the only overbored gun that can use it and walmart didnt sell them or something.I shoot 3 1/2" Mag Hevi-Shot turkey loads with the truglo. It kicks just a little, but it patterns good and i can kill a turkey out to about 65-70 yds.
