Default Need advise on a mfr screw-up

I started building boxcalls last year and built a couple of pretty good ones before turkey season. BUT... before I learned just how listen to the wood, I built a couple with sides too thick and they sound pretty bad.

What I want to know is: does anybody know a way to savvage those calls? They are one-sided calls built similar to the Lynch Foolproof.

If you have a belt sander just put it in the sannder and just wait untile it gets to the thickness you want.

If you dnon't have out use a rasp and just rubb down the sides or a planer would work.

or just a peace of ruff sand paper and just rub the sides of the box call on it and

go to smaller sand paper as you go.

Well Good Luck to you.

And if you would email me on how to make them I would like to try it.
