What would everyone recommend for a first slate call? I like the Cody line, how are they for someone just learning. Thanks in advance for all your help.

MY FIRST SLATE CALL WAS A PRIMOS, IT WAS EASY TO PICK UP CALLING. I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT THE NAME OF IT WAS.

I don't own a cody call, but I have used one and I like'em. Good luck this year.

primos power slate is a nice sounding call & dosn't cost too much

K&H Ole Yeller or the HS Strut AlumiWitch. I love both of them. They are also my first two calls.

Ole' Yeller and Cody for me. Both are good calls. As far as Cody over priced and over rated. It's no different than any other product out there from Turkey calls to pick-up trucks everyone has a favorite, as well as the ones he don't care for.

The primos power crystal and the hs woodwitch are both really good calls

HS woodwitch works well for me. John
