Nontypical,I hunt Texas every year and it's no different than hunting turkeys anyware else I've been. You hunt, call, and work your bird and if you do it right you my get him. The hill country is rolling hills with a ton of oak trees and other assorted brush and very lush beautiful country.South Texas is extreamly brushy and for the most part pretty flat. VERY tough to move on a bird in this type of country.Yes,they do have feeders but in my experince if you were to wait by a feeder to kill a turkey you better plan on a long wait.At this time of year the toms are traveling and looking for hens. Hanging around a feeder isn't a big priorty for him at this time of year.If you ever get a chance to turkey hunt Texas I'am sure you will really enjoy it.Great hunting and great people.
