I know the basic scouting techniques, but I am going out tomorrow on private land to scout again for 5th season. If you have your own tricks for scouting let me know.
THANKS AGAIN

RE: Scouting...
Try getting into a tree overlooking "open areas" ....and just watch! Works for me -however, it can backfire if a nice gobbler decides to roost in the tree next to you (it happened to me this past Sunday) I sat in a tree blind/hut (used for deer hunting)....I watched a group of what I thought was 2 toms and about 8 hens....the one bird that flew up next to me was a 3rd GOBBLER that wasn't strutting) I had to wait until dark to get out and even then I crawled on my hands and knees until I was out sight of the roosted gobbler......I never saw "him" the next AM---but, the other two and the hens came straight to my setup ---KA-BOOM! Love that "Hevi-Shot"! One tom went down and never even wiggled
