Default what call to use sun up?

what is the safest and best way to start calling as the sun creeps up and the birds are still on roost. i usually start off with soft yelps. would you call at all say 15 minutes before sun up to give the birds a location to fly down? i will be trying my newly suggested strategies this sat. in pennsy

I do a Fly Down Cackle with concurrent use of the PrimosĀ® Real Wing. Please check out the following link:

If you don't have a wing, don't worry about purchasing one. If you're wearing a hat, that'll work just fine. Try and make it sound like a turkey flying down from the tree... After doing this softy scrape the leaves with your fingers to simulate a feeding hen.
