If I shoot at a turkey and miss what are the odds of him or another gobbler being in the same general location the next day? I missed a big gobbler in a strut zone this morning and I was wondering if I should try and set up in the same zone, just a different location. Thanks

KYhunter14,
I have bumped a gobbler in his strut zone and set up the next day and got him. However, most of the time he doesn't come back to that area. I did something similar this year, I was working this gobbler when a jake walked up behind me, within 3 feet, and when he realized I was something he didn't want to be near he not only when into a back pedling, wing flaping, leaf throwing frenzy, and causing me jerk around, nearly twisting my head off, because I didn't know he was there. Well when I looked back in the direction of the big gobbler I had been working, the big tom was standing about 30 yards from me and it was over from there. I never could get this bird to come to me and I worked him for the next 5 days and he stayed about 300 yards from me and I couldn't go after him because he was on another mans' land. I believe that man killed him on about the 6th day, because I heard him gobbling and then two shots. He hasn't gobbled since, pretty sure my neighbor got him.

I am kind of wondering the same thing KYhunter,
I recently stalked 3 toms into a what i know know is a strut zone for them, and i sat and watched through some saenothis (type of thick brush, i spelt it wrong), and 4 more toms joined them and there was a total of 7 toms (no jakes) and 6 hens all about 15 yards in front of me through this thick brush. Instead of taking the shot through the brush i was hoping they would go into the clearing....didnt happen, i tried to sneak and spooked the hell out of them. I am wondering if they will use the same strut zone. I am assuming they will since i havent vistied it in a week. Ill let you know when i go back on friday.
