I haven't been hunting long enough to really be able to successfully call in the hens to me, so what works for me, is I see where the hens want to go, and the next time i can, i am there. So far, EVERY bird i have used this ambush technique on has gone into my freezer. I have also heard use what works, this works for me, you may be able to call the hens to you. This is a game that requires wisdom and patience. Learn about your birds and terrain and where they want to be, and then use your patience, and you will get your bird. I always ask myself, is it worth sitting here for 4 and a half hours just to get this bird? and every time i say yup, and well, it works, sometimes after a couple days, but it works, and trust me, it is ALL worth it when you get to walk up to that tom laying on the ground! Good luck with your birds!
