Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Off to hunt South Carolina

Well, I head to South Carolina today to make my annual attempt to kill my "Unicorn" "Bigfoot" "i.e. my unobtainable mythical creature" the South Carolina wild turkey.

I sometimes wonder if they actually exist or if they are a figment of my own imagination. I am often surrounded by them, have actually shot at and missed a couple of them over the years. But still I have no South Carolina spurs on my leather spur rope.

Good luck to you. I've got family members and a hunting buddie that keeps ribbing me that I havn't killed a Osceola like you yet. I take it in stride and again good luck to you. And post pictures if you get one.

I know they are killable, I helped dad get on in SC last year and have seen several others taken. I am starting to believe the Turkey powers to be just enjoy having fun with me in that state.

Ryan--
Guess Pat Ely didn't take my suggestion and declare the challenge over with your Florida Osecola. Get a big'un in SC. When that ole tom comes a lookin' for that lovely hen (you) in SC, wait another count before you squeeze the trigger, and knock 'em dead!! Team 9 needs that 25 pound, triple bearded, two inch spurred gobbler you're going to encounter!! Good luck!!
(Only 24 more days to wait!!)
