Going to GA nearly to the coast and I've been warned that the mogaters can carry you off down there. Has anyone used the thermacell device and how well does it work on our bitin' foes.

They work great. I use mine all the time. Refills can run up in cost if you use it alot (6$ refill lasts about 10-12 hours.) Mosquitos wont come within
several feet of you. Actually repels them from as far as 7 feet. I would definatly reccomend it.

They work GREAT I have use them for the past two years.we have them BIG BAD skitters here in Fla.

wally- world had the refills here last year for $3.00 I got all the had on two different occasions.
I think I have 13 or 14 refills left and an extra unit.that should tell you what I think about them.
the skitters want get near you after the first 15 or so min.till it get warmed up.it doesn't bother deer either. I have had deer within 10 to 15 feet from ,downwind and never even looked up from feeding.

Gotta a newbie turkey hunting buddy way down here that bought one after his first time out. He was complaining about the "mogators". Got his at "Bass Pro" for 25 dollars, the camo job. Next time out he was singing the praises.

If you got the money go for it.

Thanks for the inuput guys, I'll definately get one. Now that said, which one do you recommend? I saw a compact version but you have to light it with a match or lighter. The camo at bass pro is $30 and the compact at walgreens is around $15. Let me know what you think. I'm from South Arkansas not far from Tunica, MS and I wish I would have known about these things long ago!
