No, I dont think its a poult production problem. I saw tons of turkeys out there in October while I was bowhunting and I didnt see any coyote sign.
Now there is coyote sign all over, from one end of the area to the other and no or very few turkeys.

Last season I was turkey hunting in South Texas and using a couple of decoys. I had a turkey gobbling to the south of me, so I was fixed on that direction. I happened to look back at my decoys and a coyote was about 10 yards from them with his belly to the ground trying to sneak up on them. I was going to turn and shoot, but he must have winded me because he turned and ran before I could draw a bead on him.
