Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Size of turkey's home area

I've heard it said about a deer that they will spend most of their life within about a square mile area. How big of an area will a turkey generally call home and when pressured will they rather hide out in the area they know or will they roam to other areas??

Thanks!

Default RE: Size of turkey's home area

Here in Virginia where I hunt, they might be here today and 3 miles away tomorrow. I hunt some mountain land with fields around it. The mountain is about 10 miles long. Your area might be different as on the Outdoor channel, they roost in the same tree every night and fly down to the same spot in the morning. Don
