Default NC turkey's

Went Saturday and couldn't get them to gobble. Had them in within 60yds and they would not gobble. I had 6 hunters tell me they had the same thing happen to them. Cold snap must have got to them.
Most killed around here opening day was when they came off the roost.

Hope they get hot by the end of this week.

Anyone else had this happen to them?

Even up here in the Old Dominion they've quited down quite a bit. Went out yesterday and heard 3 sound off on the ridge across the field. Not long after they hit the ground, they went silent. Seems like they're just not playing the game. Staying behind cover, we snuck over to the ridge where they were gobbling on the roost but no luck, the wouldn't dance.

Same in Warren county. Gobble on the roost then fly down and go silent. A week ago they were not doing this. Had a great day last Saturday. We worked a bird for 3 hours and 17 minutes.
