Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Excellent gun, but think about the mossberg 835 too, my opinion is it is a much better gun.

I got a Mossburg 18 years ago. the barrel split by the reciever. They gave me a new one. I never liked to shoot it since. I traded it for a Winchester 1300 Combo (comes with deer slug barrel with rear sights) Alot of gun and differnt kinds of Hunting are offered with this gun. shoots #6 turkey with kicks choke very well. My best friend has a nova and likes it. shoots geese well with the long barrel. I have found the Winchester forearm to be the tightest among the pumps. no rattle. others seem to be a little noisey and sloppy on the forarm pump action when in the chambered poistion. This includes the nova.

Every thing that I have heard about the Novas is that they are excellent guns. I came really close to buying one myself for this upcoming season but opted for a semiauto. Give it a try If you're comfortable with it.

Well if we are honest any shotgun with tight chokes will do the job!! However the Nova has 3 1/2 inch shell capability + it also has a nice high combe making it a nice gun to keep in the sholder whilst aiming.

Personally though I really dont like the nova as it looks like something out of star trex!!!!

Hunting with it may be fine............but patterning it is a bear. It has IMHO more felt recoil than the 835. I don't know about any of the other turkey guns, but I've shot both of these and I bought the 835 and love it.

I have 2 Novas I love them both , one is a 12 ga slug gun and the other is 12 Ga camo set up for turkey. I put a Hi-vs sight on the turkey gun and a Extra full choke. I shot Remington 3 1/2 " # 4 get a great pattern. One thing ! GET RECOIL REDUCER it works. GOOD LUCK
