Well, I must say that I like the slate calls the most. I have used a slate to the misfortune of many longbeards. I had a big tom run when I hit the box one time and from then on I prefered the slate type calls. I just got the sweetest call I have ever heard though and it is the H.S. Strut Black Magic. I haven't used in the woods yet, but it sure does sing. BB

Sorry ace101, we can't use decoys in Alabama. But this year is my first year to use a slate. I used a box call last year and mouth calls. I wont to try to a least work birds with all three types that I have. Thanks for all the replies so far. Keep'em coming.
