I have an 870 Super Magnum. I have played with chokes in it and the extra full choke that came with it will shoot as good a pattern as the custom choke I had made .

I always had good luck with the remington super full choke and Winchester Supreme ammo #4's or 5's

Kick's Gobblin' Thunder choke in .665 and Winchester Supreme High Velocity in #5 shot. You can buy the choke from Midwest Turkey Call Supply

What's the barrel length? My old 870 with 28" barrel liked the Rem factory extra full with Rem Duplex 4x6 and my two 870 magnums with a 23" and 26" barrel likes the Kicks tube .665 with Win HV #6. My 1187 likes the Kicks tube as well but with a 21" barrel I had to drop down to a tighter constriction, the .655 diameter. The ported Kicks tube helps with the recoil when I'm shooting the 3.5 loads.

I have shot a Mad Max in my 26" 870 with good success. They can be purchased at Bass Pro Shops.

In My 23" barrel the Rem. Ventilator .655 does a great job, but I'm looking for a Rhino to shoot hevi-shot with.

I've got the HS Strut Undertaker choke and I'd rate it as OK.

I use a standard Undertaker in my 870 express w/23" barrel. I have patterned it with at least five different loads (#5 and #6). It patterns a little better than the stock turkey extra full choke, but not enough to make me recommend it. For what it's worth, in my gun, it does best with Winchester Supreme 1 3/4 oz. #5.
