Just found out they have a special permit hunt for youth.

we have a youth phesant hunt here in washington but i dont think we have a youth turkey season i shure wish we did though

In Texas we have youth turkey hunting weekends that fall on the youth whitetail weekends, in late October and late January, but none in the spring.

South Dakota has youth rifle deer and youth pheasant seasons. No youth turkey yet.

Il started a youth Turkey and Deer hunt last year. The only problem for the turkey is that they only allow 10 permits per county.

Got to go with my son last year for our states first one (I'm told). He got a very nice one. All states should do it, helps get kids started in the sport.
