Mike,I've never hunted Fort McCoy but I heard they have a lot of birds there.I'm pretty sure the hunt is on weekdays only.You may even be able to stay right on the base.I'm sure you'll get all the info if you draw a tag.

Zone 3; but not till period E, the camping will be great Early May you can catch 2nd "RUT" The hen's are almost all sittin' on nests, the TOM's are still lookin' hopefully ! I sit in a strut zone all day, I bow hunt from a double bull blind over decoys. Last year I started video tape, can't wait already planning scouting trips.
