Default Locator calls for fall turkeys

Do locator calls work in the fall.I wouldn' t think they would work as well in the fall as well as in the spring.Does any one use them and if so what do you use?
Today I heard a domestic turkey gobbling his brains out at a crow.

I really don' t know of any locater call that would work on a regular basis in the fall.If you know an area turkeys spend alot of time,You might wanna just go out the evenin before and listen for them to fly up.They make alot of noise when they fly up.Wait till it' s good and dark then go scatter them off the roost(run, yell, smack sticks on trees)Go back to the same spot the next mornin and be ready for action, soon as the sun comes up all heck is gonna break loose.I f you can' t find em on the roost about the only way you' ll find em is with lots of leg work.Find fresh scratchins and follow them till you catch up to the flock then scatter them. These two methods work well on a family flock. If you' re after longbeards, well that' s a whole diffrent ballgame.Good Luck

A good agricultural crop field or even a good mass grove are the best calling cards i can relate too this time of year!!
